But the insurance policies DO exclude the Kerbs! That's the point!
The policy covers racing ON the track. The track is defined by the white lines and MOST white lines are painted so that the Kerbs are OUTSIDE the white lines. That really IS: Q.E.D.!
The rules ALSO say that the kart must stay within the confines of the track even though they allow SOME lee-way. However, take a track like Rye House where there is at least ONE corner that has the kerb WIDER than a kart because MOST karts have all-four wheels ON that kerb in every race! None of the kart is ON the track AT ALL! Obvioulsy, that's a severe case BUT.....
Please go and run a club..... I do NOT believe any of us (who know about such things) would knowingly put our houses on that gamble.
I also run a village hall where I am LITERALLY under the threat of prison if I allow the noise limits to be exceeded. You can be CERTAIN that I have limited the maximum noise by technology.... and a STRICT application of the rules. I do NOT fancy prison! I also have taken out negligence insurance for all my council-colleagues to protect us in the worst possible circumstances.
When your livelihood and your freedom are on the line, you view these things differently.....
