I think it's safe to assume 'drive' includes 'race'! This has been a matter of confusion for some time because the MSA's rules are so grey. The rule posted below on dogs is a typical example, you can't bring them in but if you do...

Even when they updated the kerb rule it was so open to interpretation that they had to issue that clarification.

Now, where itpro may have a small point is that even this clear kerb rule is often flouted in karting in that we commonly see drivers with 2 wheels on the grass. My personal opinion is that this should be punished, mainly because it damages the circuit and karts and I don't want to have to damage my kart to keep up.
