The fact remains, that it looks like another race track is going to close, its a hobby or a way of life for some, many local people went there to watch, but like most things nowadays, we have too much choice with regards to how we spend our free-time.

I have only been there twice in my life, great experience, oddly enough i am only 40mins from Thruxton and have never been to watch a meeting there!

I think what i am trying to say is, the more recreation that gets closed for planning permission for houses/supermarkets/whatever, that means we have less local attractions, i am sure lots of locals went to Mallory, because is was local...
Now what will they do? Travel the the next nearest track? Stop going to race meetings, go shopping, play on xBox....

Maybe we all need to support our local race track, because once its gone, its gone!
