Hi Brian,

My partner runs the London "Race for Life" every year. Most of us have been touched by Cancer in our lifes and charity work for Cancer Research always opens wallets. It just pushes all other charity work out of the way... :o(
Someyears she has raised huge sums of money and others not so. She asks for very little but her biggest gains have always been from her place of work.

She does look at the leaner years and asks why so little can be made and invariably people comment with the following reasons for not giving in that particular year;

Poor Timing
Cost of Living having risen
Holiday Seasons
Job Cuts or reduced hours
They plain forgot
Or they didn't get the memo

I wouldn't take it to heart, she doesn't either. She just tries harder to get the message across ..and try she does!

In addition I rarely read the news on this site unless it's rule changes or something so thankyou for the great thread and I'll not forget the JDRF as a consequence. All the Best.
