hi all,

-just pondering over the lack of interest in my lad's JDRF fundraising appeal(Type 1 Diabetes -seeking a cure through research).

I am puzzled over how a cause as worthy as JDRF has not tugged a few wallets open and resulted in a few donations from fellow karters?

Is it an overload of charitable causes?
Is it because you may not know the person?
Is it because he is not a known name?
Is JDRF not widely known for it's Type 1 Diabetes work?
Is it because a lot of you enter the site without reading the news page?
Is it something else you are brave enough to share with me.

Seriously... he is very keen to raise funds for JDRF and I feel the Karting world is missing the point.

Michael is a 'guy next door' with a job, a mortgage and a family. He has type 1 diabetes yet still trains hard, karts whenever possible and holds down a job that travels internationally, crosses time zones regularly and yet stays positive in his attitude to being diabetic.

I am very interested in how I have failed in my promotion of his effort to raise funds for JDRF research into Type 1 Diabetes.
