I'm glad that the target (Chris) of my previous post is a grown up. He didn't take what I wrote as an insult and I didn't mean that he SHOULD! He was 'strong' in his condemnation of Fernando and my reply was EQUALLY 'strong', if more detailed.!

I 'objected' to his characterisation of Fernando as 'disloyal'. It's correct that Chris didn't mention any other driver...... but they were included by his implication that Fernando behaved somewhat unusually (for an F1 Driver) and that can only mean 'from the others'.

I think you'll find that the other F1 Drivers appreciate his fairness, precision, speed and determination. The one driver who NEVER gives up is Fernando.

Those other drivers also know that Fernando is JUST as loyal as THEY are...... i.e.: loyal only to themselves.

Sorry the rest of you don't such comprehend discussions between grown-ups!

Perhaps what you wanted was:-

"I say, Chris old chap, that was slightly unfair of you to suggest that Fernando is a trifle disloyal..... but..... I really shouldn't say so because it might upset the gentler souls on this website...... oh..... and while we are discussing such things, surely YOU shouldn't have been so unfair to Fernando in case THAT upset those gentle souls, too?"

Russell, you are an odd mixture: hearty and robust, honourable and informed with your advice and quite happy to criticise when that's appropriate, too. And yet.......

I haven't bothered to read Paul's drivel for months and it would be embarrassing if he happens to be supporting me (for those who don't understand sarcasm... that last bit's a joke!)

Can I suggest that all those who don't like what I write, copy EXACTLY what I do with the fantasist Paul: I just DON'T read his posts. If you take that same stance with me, I can't offend you ..... it's pretty simple stuff, lads! I find 'Big Brother', 'Britain's Got Talent', 'The Daily Mail', 'The Mirror' and similar programs/papers offensive and I deal with that by simply NOT watching/reading them..... try the same thing with my postings if you object to what I say!

Anyway...... I still don't see a long list of drivers who you guys think HAVE been more loyal than Fernando in the past 50 years..... I wonder why..... Obviously, Hamilton won't figure in ANY of your lists!
