"The word 'until' is the give-away! It shows that you know that it DID eventually change, even in F1!"
However, you are shifting the grounds of your argument like a toddler clutching its groin.
Your argument was that F1 changed even though the drivers were willing to continue. However, this was not true, simply because no meaningful changes were made until the drivers demonstrated that they were not willing to continue.
However, with a number of dangerous sports, including the IOM the drivers have shown that they are willing to continue driving under the current conditions. Meanwhile changes are continually being made to improve safety (Guy Martin's survival is a case in point, improvements in his personal safety gear meant that an accident that previously was not likely to be survived, was survived).
What the TT drivers are aware of is that the ability to go faster is increasing more quickly than any reasonable safety measures that can be put in place.
Now, there are people on this board who have suggested, apparently in all seriousness, that we should abandon all the safety equipment fitted to karts and revert to 'push and go' with all the additional dangers that created. They display exactly the same mentality as the drivers on the TT that you rail on about.
