Does ANYONE actually pay tax in Greece?

Even in the very affluent parts, filled with doctors, lawyers and `high end` businessmen, for years, tax returns have apparantly been submitted, and accepted, showing minimum earnings. It seems the authorities are now attempting to, belatedly, and far TOO late, clamp down and, it must be quite a funny sight, have, it seems, been taking to the air in the more affluent areas to see which properties have swimming pools, the corrupt high rolloers busily covering them in `camouflage` covers to avoid detection by the authorities or google earth......

That said, I did hear somewhere that, I think, the UK tax `take` in 2008 or 2008 was the lowest since the 1920`s......how true this is I am unsure....
