Since they first came up with turbo engines they have been saying power limits of 500bhp, but if they are now saying v6's instead of inline 4's this is GOOD NEWS!
However, how can a 500hp 1.6 litre engine be a good thing when 1.5 litre turbo's were producing 1500hp 30 YEARS AGO!! There is no technological advancement in formula 1 these days, in fact power levels in 2014 are dropping to the same levels as they were in the 1960's but they are not lowering corner speeds. So what you are going to end up with is a car that doesn't need to brake going into corners and thus no overtaking, all going to be artificial.
They should actually:
not limit turbo's reduce front wing size lower and widen rear wing, to be mounted with central struts only get rid of kers get rid of drs manual operated clutch wider rear tyres back to 2m wide cars Steel brake discs ALLOW TEAMS TO SET UP CARS FOR THE CONDITIONS
Result? Higher top speeds, lower corner speeds, larger braking distances and cars that don't drive themselves.
