Equally worrying is the fact that all these stolen vehicles [quads, tractors, JCB's, agricultural vehicles, etc] just disappear without trace. Call me naive if you like but aren't shipping containers and their contents checked before leaving the docks? Somebody must be turning a blind eye to all this.
