David, its each to their own i know but if you can't see the difference watching HD from SD then theres either something wrong with your eyesight or your senses lol!

I remember watching a WW2 shoot em up film at my brother in laws, saving private ryan or band of brothers can't remember but it was on blu-ray through his HD projector telly, they have a cinema room see, with black out curtains and all that jazz, loves his home cinema and music and i knew why, it felt like you were there, bullets flying, people talking behind you, cars and trucks moving, thats when i first bought my surround sound, think HD tv's had just come out and weren't that cheap so didn't get one until now.

As an aside, it tickled me to read that anybody who has something bigger or better than itpro would buy automatically becomes a 'CHAV'!
