Had my Desire HD for 3 weeks and will agree about the trigger happy screen and quiet speaker. It's big too but that's great when playing back media. You have to jiggle a few things about to manage decent battery life, mine has settled down now and seems to last well (two days).
I'd have a look on the mobile section at hotukdeals.com that's where I saw the offer on mine. I went for a redemption scheme with Orange (dialaphone) for 18 months.
