ian yes as i said this should be applied to ALL fuels gas electicity petrol derv and LPG so all housholds are not held to ransom by multi national corps making a killing whilst the everyday people are trying to eek out and existance and trying to find the way to pay for the travel to work and to heat there house in the winter. I have not said that i would fix the prices but i would set a MAXIMUM Price for the comodities. competition withing the suppliers can still reduce the cost if they find cost saving methods to do that.

on the topic of why should you pay for costs in the north of scotland i could counter as to why notherners pay for the transport infrastructure you londeners enjoy that the rest of the country doesnt. the chanel tunnel rail link to st pancreas etc

remember this is the UK and as such we all pay for progets in OTHER parts of the UK whether we live there or not.

whilst this sounds a bit like comunism maybe we need to look at comunism and capitalism and merge best practice from both for the good of everyone but i thing that is for another discusion.
