There are plenty of powerful motors and control systems available and geting cheaper all the time, but even tho' batteries have made huge advances in the last few years, if you want Rotax levels of performance for say a 20 min race...you will still need about 50 kg of expensive $1000 Nano LiPo batteries and the skills to manage them safely. The real problem however, will be finding enough power available at the track to recharge quickly enough Your portable honda Genny isnt going to cut it !( 50A @ 440v ). Get 10 or more racers all wanting that power at the same time and imagine the consequences ! Performance could be controlled and equalised by using a form of electronic regulator..otherwise you had better brush up on your electronic power systems know how !
