be careful with stuff like this, if yuo have an accident and have tyre softner, chains or winter tyres on it could invalidate your insurance!!!!! im being serious, the other day on the bbc news there was an inquirey into it after someone was told their insurance was invaild after having an accident while using snow tyres, the insurace company had the stance that if its bad enough to fit them then you should stay at home, not doing so imposes a bigger risk which they didnt account for in their insuance quote...hense invalidating your warrenty

also the tyre softener doesnt just decide to leave the tyre when the snow leaves the road...youd end up shredding your tyres very quickly!
