You have the choice to pay MORE for your insurance..... all YOU have to do is to find one which specialises in young drivers and you can GUARANTEE that you will. Or.... if your prefer... you can simply PAY more for the sake of it..... Just tell them that you DON'T have a no-claims bonus.... that'll do it! Or donate the sum that you think you SHOULD pay to one of the kiddies where who CANNOT get cheap insurance....

I suggest you do the LATTER!

So.... YES..... I DO think you are pretending!

With regard to me taking a driving test..... perhaps you can suggest a way that I CAN take a driving test.....? It is not LEGAL for me to PRETEND to have a provisional licence just so I can re-take a test....

.... or are you suggesting that I DELIBERATELY lose my licence every 5 years so that I CAN re-sit the test?

So.... the ONLY thing I can do is take some form of Dummy test....... and that's is E*X*A*C*T*L*Y WHAT I DO!

For precision.... I do the VERY BEST I CAN as a SUBSTITUTE and I do it far more frequently than every 5 years..... As a matter of habit, I regularly PRETEND I am on the 'test' and revert to ALL the things I was taught as THOUGH I was taking my test; no clutch holding, hand signals, wheel passed through the hands, 3 point turns with handbrakes, no downshifts on the way to junctions.... etc., etc.. I do this about TWICE A YEAR.

Not only that, but I also use the current DRIVING TEST SOFTWARE (changed each time the TEST changes) and run through the test until I can get ZERO FAULTS on the theory...... That gets done roughly yearly!

But.... for even MORE precision, I regularly re-do all the things I was taught by the Police driver training that I took (many years ago with fantastic John Gott [Northampton]) and do the FULL running commentary while driving.... I only do this when I am on my own....... except....

Finally...... when I go out with the Police as part of my 'duties' as the Police liaison for our council, I get them to ASSESS my driving to see how it matches their training (I will NOT use their 'Q' Line.... I'd prefer to survive!)! I get a regular running report on what they think are MY errors when I DO the driving ..... you'll be pleased to know that I tell them THEIR faults.... too!

......... once again, Bod, ..... you picked the WRONG subject and you picked the WRONG person.... you need to remember QUITE how weird I really AM.... Bod.

A good barrister will tell you: NEVER ask a question unless you already KNOW the answer that you are going to get.... you have SO much to learn, Bod!
