"Here's my scenario... Massa Holds up alonso, Alonso goes for the overtake and Vettel comes off best. Vettel Wins!"
They cheated me of a race to the finish.
On the other hand, the coded message could have meant something entirely different.
Like, "you are going to have to slow down because your fuel state is dangerously low, you will need to go at least half a second a lap slower until the end of the race.
But Alonso has enough fuel to get to the finish line because you have been towing him in your slipstream for most of the race.
So, don't be a prat and spoil the overtake, we don't need a Vettel Webber incident or the nearly of Hamilton Button."
Or are we suggesting that Massa is so immature that he goes into a multi-lap sulk even though Vettel is closing in on his rear wing?
And yes, Ferrari get fined because "That's what it looked like and we have to be seen to be doing something".
If my leading driver had a fuel management issue 12 laps from the end, I wouldn't advertise it in plain language either.
