Is this consortium going to do it for free because they believe so passionately about curbing excess speed or are we now talking about a group of like minded fanatics like yourself with enough financial backing to be able to enforce speed limits for a share or eventually all of the profits. Maybe even with a nice juicy bonus for achieving results based on targets just as vague as the reasoning behind the location of cameras.

If this is the case then I am sure that they will have done their sums and found the break even point between resources and profit and they will resource accordingly to maximise profit. Will we then find the locations with the most potential to generate money being constantly monitored, all in the name of safety of course.

Perfect example was last weekend, fixed camera at the end of a short dual carriageway to catch the speeding motorist followed by a mobile van 1/2 a mile further up the road to catch those who know about the camera and speeded up after passing the fixed site.

Maybe with this new consortium we will see another van a further 1/2 mile down the road to catch even more motorists, but its ok because they are protecting the population from the most dangerous criminals in the land.

Care to expand on this consortium and what their plans for making the roads safer will be.
