I don`t think that is really what he meant Rich....

Anyone who likes music of any kind appreciates the percussionist, he is a very important part of any band, but, at the same time, he is never the guy who gets the girl, is he, or the adulation......it always goes to the lead singer, or the lead guitarist/s......even the bassist gets a little left out of the picture sometimes, but not so much as the poor old drummer, who even sits at the back of the stage, somewhat anonymously........its just how things are, and always have been.
