4 PSNI officers were killed when their armoured Shogun was involved in a relatively minor accident. The vehicle caught on fire and the doors jammed, trapping the officers inside, unable to recieve assistance from members of the public who tried to get them out.
These vehicles are just ordinary 3.0V6 shoguns that have armour fitted at a later stage. The police could buy custom made BMW's from their armoured division, but they would rather spend more money building their own, so it doesn't look so bad when police arrive in BMW's.
