That is the last thing I would worry about, it seems companies often take the aggressive stance in order to scare a customer into paying.......usually, as it turns out, when the are in the wrong, trouble is, once he HAS paid, then just try to get it back!!!!

Make absolutely sure.......only problem is of course, legal advice costs money.

However a trip to the local C.A.B. doesn`t, and is well worth the time.

Could also be worth mentioning to the letting agent that he is doing that too........could be that their attitude could `soften up` somewhat
