That's simply NOT true, David.

You DO choose to ban somethings.... you would NOT support karting WITHOUT helmets! You would NOT choose to say 'it's up to the drivers' which is EXACTLY what you are claiming for the Bikers at the TT!

As you said, safety was NOT treated seriously until MAJOR F1 stars were killed. The effect was most notable with Jim Clark and Ayrton.... 'if THOSE 'masters' two can be killed, then....'

We then made the VEHICLES safer and banned the tracks where they COULDN'T be made safer.

But... you have now put your finger on the argument about the TT..... basically, you are stating what I have been implying.... nobody IMPORTANT enough as DIED at the TT to bring ABOUT the equivalent changes caused by a Jim or Ayrton death!

And that simply STINKS!
