Itpro, when i said i wanted to go on a plastering course it was with a view to add it to my joinery experience so it would open a few more avenues and not a total career change cos i was sick of joinery. I didnt want a C&G in it, or plumbing, just a quick short course with at best a college certificate to prove i have SOME knowledge and experience.

Heres a description of a job, many i applied for read like this.....they all wanted multi-skilled

Wage Ł7-Ł10 PER HOUR
Hours 40 HOURS, MONDAY-FRIDAY, BETWEEN 8AM-5PM
Location LOUGHBOROUGH,LEICESTERSHIRE LE11
Duration Temporary

Description
Applicant must be willing to work away for an initial period of 6-7 weeks (accommodation paid for). You should be highly skilled in at least 2-3 (if not all) of the following areas: Plastering, skimming, Joinery/Carpentry, Bench hand joinery, Stud wall construction, Structural works (beam and lintel, minor bricklaying), Tiling, painting, Final Fix works.. Applicants must have a CSCS card, full driving license, be able to read drawings and be willing to work away. Time served experience and at least 2 references are required. Own van and tools would be advantageous.

Now itpro, i want your honestest reply here without going off to google it first and making out you knew all about it.....

Have YOU ever heard of the 'Advisor discretionary fund', yes or no?

Now go and google it and see the amount of JSA claimants who should of been entitled to it that weren't even told it exsists, i didn't know and only found out once i was working.

Like i said above, im getting MORE financial help now than what i was getting when i was job seeking and needed every penny.
