I was caught doing 44 in a 30 in a work van (don't ask!) on December 19th 09. Heard nothing until 24th January, that was from the Fleet Management company, who then had to pass my details on which took another 3 weeks, and by the time I had responded and asked for it to be heard in court, I attended court on April 23rd!! Over four months later!!

I'd agree with you though, he'll at least get a three year disqualification, but he could face a prison term depending on the judge!!
