Yep I agree with Chris and Ian here. If you're in the market for something simple and low key, then check out these people. They've everything from off the shelf designs to bespoke stuff.

Again, as the guys said, if you need more than a DESIGN, then be very clear about the purpose of your site and why people will use it before you about engaging somebody to build a site for you.
