Yes David....... just like Burglars and Muggers are being 'victimised'!!!!

...... Speeders CANNOT be 'victimised'.... they are NOT 'victims'.... they are PERPETRATORS.... EXACTLY like burglars, muggers, benefit cheats, crooked MPs, drug dealers, tax dodgers, etc., etc...

Or perhaps you'd like to suggest that MPs are being 'victimised'...... becasue the Police KEEP looking at THEIR law breaking....

It's just LUDICROUS!

Take an analogy.... I like motor-racing, I also like other sports.... BUT.... as my main interest is motor-sport, my interest in other psorts HAS to take a back seat.

I am 100% with you about Car Tax Dodgers, drivers without insurance, drivers with bad lights, bad parkers, cyclist jumping traffic light and riding with NO lights... etc.. However, while the above don't tend to KILL or INJURE that many people just from DOING those things, I can't place them at quite as high in my list of priorities as speeding!

I take drink-driving as seriously as speeding BUT..... the years of enforcement of DD laws has AT LONG LAST got through to the (thick) general public.... the only difference with the speeding issue are the 'dinosaurs' who think that the SPEEDING Motorist are VICTIMS.... but would now N*E*V*E*R claim that the DRUNK motorist is a 'victim'! You have to know that 30 years ago.... people DID believe that Drink Drivers were being VICTIMISED..... I know that's hard to believe but it IS TRUE! It's only been the RELENTLESS pressure (err.... 'victimisation') of DDs that has changed that attitude.

So.... until speeding is treated by Joe Public in the same way they treat DD, then I have no option but to 'focus' MY interest in that area! That does NOT mean I approve of the other dangers.... I am just ONE man and I can't do EVERYTHING! I'll leave YOU to do the rest and you WILL have my support, if you do....
