Do you know, at 36 I ALSO had had experiences with the NHS where there were FANTASTIC (I had Weil's Disease at 27..... top THAT!). I even had good service under the ACCURSED Labour NHS..... but I'd also had APPALLING service as well. under ALL types of Government.

My PERSONAL experience, like yours, if FAR too tiny on which to base a view about a political system. I use MY experience as an illustration and I do NOT extrapolate the WHOLE of the NHS from a few, personal incidents.

At 36, I make it that you were about FIVE when the last Labour Rabble were ejected. It makes you only 22 when the Labour dragged themselves in and began WASTING the hard-work we had ALL put in in the 1980s and early 1990s.....and, if you were anything like me, I can't remember Politics and the NHS being a major part of my life at the age of 22..... other more.... personal... matters were to the fore....

So..... perhaps you will understand why I don't think you are exactly in a position to tell us how AWFUL life was under the last Tory Regime..... nor the REASONS why the Tories were FORCED to cut expenditure...... Being honest, it's a bit like asking a 5 year old today what THEY thought of life under the Brown.......
