Traditionally Labour has been about big government and the Tories have been about small government. What that means is that the Tories prefer to limit State intervention in all forms of life in order to create an environment that's better for free enterprise.

Why is that a good thing ? Because business or 'the private sector' is what keeps this country running. Not only does it employ most of the workforce, it also funds the public sector... including the dole !

We need many more successful businesses. New businesses are not started by some government initiative. They are started by smart people who want to become rich. In other words, the very exercise of some people becoming rich means that others have a livelihood and society benefits as a whole. We all EARN our way to a better life. Labour's core philosophy is against inequality which essentially means they need to BORROW to create wealth. As we all know, earnings are your's, borrowings are somebody else's.

And one final thing. If you feel that the rich should be massively suppressed and their wealth taxed from them to give to the not so wealthy... somewhere that society is completely equal... then why don't you emigrate to Cuba or North Korea where these polices have been 'thriving' for years. Tell them you're a socialist racing driver... oh and bring your kart with you as social equality means they don't have any there.
