I think you might be wrong there Mantis?

When i left school back in the 80's i went into the motor trade mainly tyre and exhaust, back then it was 12" for small town cars, 13" and 14" for small to medeium family cars and 15,16 and 17" for anything that was high performance.

Widths have shot up too, back then 205's where the width to have, if you had 235's then you were driving something special and probably very expensive.

Go to any new car dealer forecourt now and take a look at rim diameter and tyre width sizes, basic family cars have like 205 + on, 18" is considered normal now.

13" tyres in F1, whats that all about?
