Reverse grid wouldnt work. people would deliberatley finish middle of the field so they can perform well in both races. unless the points changed so therte would be no advantage in doing that.....but if that hasppened the championship battle wouldnt be close enough and could be over very soon. also... what if you crash in race 1. your out for race 2 then aswell if you cant get it fixed. no spare car... bringing that back would increase costs once again as thery are trying cut them. 2 races may also mean more tyres etc.
sorry but i do dont think that would work. its called grand prix for a reason... 1 race... if you did 2 it wouldnt be a grand prix.
