Oh, come on Alan; we are ready to help you but not if you ate using this as a means to bash PCs
Be fair! The reason why the Mac has so few problems working with peripherals is that there ARE no peripherals that work with Mac unless they pay (and thus the BUYER pays) a GIGANTIC premium to Mac. When mac only needs to work with 6 other VASTLY overpriced peripherals, it's not THAT hard to have perfectly working interface.
There's no doubt that, if you let ME select the PC and SIXTY peripherals for Windows..... I can GUARANTEE they work first time, everytime! That's 10 times as many as with Mac!
It really gets me: Apple are the euqivalent of RUSSIA in the 1970s..... "So.,... Tovarisch, you can use any peripherals that you like..... so long as they are approved by the Soviet Leadership....... and pay them a HUGE BRIBE! For the rest of you..... get in the queue for bathplugs and cabbage smells"
PCs are the equivalanret of the United States in the 1970s..... utterly chaotic but, across the board, everything wortks MUCH better and MUCH more cheaply....... and everyone is not being forced to pay a PREMIUM for having a CHOICE...... oh..... and nobody need STARVE in the USA....... unlike in the USSR!
I salute you.... what's Mac-skis 5-year-plan for the future? Will ANYONE be allowed a CHOICE? And will anyone be able to AFFORD bread if they choose Mac?
