Although correct 'loud isnt better' itpro, you may have forgotten the amplifiers are used to drive mid-range a tweeters not just sub-woofers.

Personally im with you, i prefer quality and a clear crisp sound, i like a little background bass but for me its all about the treble.

Each to their own though
