In all fairness to Happy Wheels, he called it a mini-supercar, for which he was refering to its looks, and not performance; and I agree with his comment.

You are accusing the Elise of being slow, which compared to an actual supercar... of course it is! But like you quite rightly said, a car's performance is relative to what you have driven already, however, it is also relative to how much you spend on it. The Ł15k Elise delivers performance that you'd have to spend Ł35k on Tmoon's suggested Ferrari... for value for money and a car that's going to spend the majourity of its time in the garage, I know what I'd do; Ł20k into investments and Ł15k into a fun car!

In relation to the K-Series, Newshound will be looking at a Series 2 Elise with the Toyota powerplant which is over comes the issues the K Series provided. Naturally aspirated the power ranges from 134bhp to 189bhp.

So taking into account the power to weight ratio, the Elise weighing circa 750kg and the S2000 1250kg, the reflection of its importance can be seen in the 0-60 times (which we all know is just a snippet of a cars overall performance), the S2000 take 6sec and the slowest Elise taking 5.7secs and a 189bhp version taking only 4.9secs! To get into the power band of the heavier S2000 you have to rev the VTEC hard between 7000 and 8000 rpm; the Elise will reach its power band between 4500 and 6000 and so will feel readier to go with out a brutal down-change or having to wind it up the revs so much. So I have to agree with Pratty, the Elise would feel far more urgent.
