You haven't stated your age and that affects the answers.
Who bought the kart in the first place and/or was it given as a FORMAL gift (i.e., birthday present, Christmas present, etc.)?
If the end of the sale time on Ebay is near, I could suggest a 'delaying tactic' of getting a drunk friend to bid WELL above the expected price and then failing to complete the sale. It's illegal to plan to do such a thing, but....
If you think you realy DO have 'rights' over the kart, simply go to the CAB (citizen's advice bureau) or, better still, contact a solicitor and ask if they will give you half hour's 'free review' of the case (many solicitors do). Go and talk to them with ALL of the available documentation. I.e., if you have any cheque stubs, credit card receipts, etc., as proof that you DID buy the items.
Make best use of that half-hour by getting your FACTS marshaled in your head so that your part of the 'story' takes no more than 10 minuted to explain so that you can LISTEN for 20 mins! Ideally, write down WHAT you are goiung to say before you get there (in bullet point form) with a list of your items of proof of those things NEATLY stapled together.
Without some form of paper-proof or signed statment by another family member who heard Dad give you the kart as a present, then I think you nhave problems.
And finally......
N*O*B*O*D*Y has gone too far to talk things through with your Dad. If you don't resolve this problem now... when ARE you going to do so? One day, Dad will die; do you REALLY never want to have speak to him again???? If your answer is 'yes' then it's YOU who has the problem!
