Dave's recommendation of that video is a DELIGHT!

If you visit the site and then search the words 'Kart', 'Karting' and 'Go Kart', you get a range of old films! If you note the dates you'll see how RAPIDLY karts changed from crude flat plates to the karts you'd recognise today. They may LOOK diferent but you'll see, other than wide wheels and 'tupperware', there are almost NO differences!

The driving style is almost the same, too. there's a 1968 film of the UK Championships at Sheniington and you can see the IDENTICAL techniques of driving in use today.

For us oldies, watching a number of the films, seeing people like Dave Leslie again was a pleasure. I also suspect I saw Stephen South Terry Edgar, Buzz Ware, Mickey Allen etc., etc..

If you are old enough to remember, you will enjoy the footage available!
