You'd not believe the number of times I am called to client's site who have AVG and who ALSO have a virus!

I remove the hard drive, bring it to this desk, plug it into my MAIN pc and run MY copy of Norton over it..... to find half a dozen viruses, trojans, and other assorted malware. It's become a VERY regular occurence!

There really is NO comparison!

Norton simply DOES what it claims it will do.... it does the JOB..... and that's the reason it WORKS. The other MAY have less 'hardware footprint'.... but I suspect it's because the alos do NOT do the job!

BUT.... whatever the case, the concept is simple: the COST of making a PC virus-safe is a FRACTION of the extra cost you need to pay to buy a JOKE Mac in the mistaken belief that Macs are 'virus-free'. They are NOT!
