Well yes, it's always been true that over-population will cause that and also many other problems arise because of it. But if you try to install a Chinese type system (where every couple is only allowed 1 child) then I think the western world would have an even bigger outcry than if we tried to ban car travel! I think the world would have to actually be on fire before we would accept that. The chinese strangly not so much, probably because they fear being shot if they complained in numbers. This is why you get families in China literally throwing girls in the bin - because they wanted their only child to be a boy. (Which I'm sure the chinese government are more than happy about because it only helps their cause for there to be an inbalance in girl/boys)
It is possible to stop global warming without resorting to these kind of measures. And if it isn't, then we'll have to find another drastic measure because the general public will not agree to this at all! “

Need to decide if any GCC can be solved if you don’t address the cause…plus all side affect pollution it causes that may have more impact than GCC on its own, then get a global agreement, that can be sold in a way that doesn’t end in civil riots
Our government say reduce your mileage, standby power etc but will not say reduce numbers, simply buying time and not addressing the main cause….it is a green hijack that has nothing to with environment issues……..just one race trying to prolong its span, the green party never ruled because it didn’t put its voters 1st, it looked at issues that affected all species……not a vote winner and the new false greens will not solve the problem because their main aim is protecting one species

is it, happy to listen, GCC is a side affect of the problem not the problem, pollution is a better way to get the public to understand I believe, the true choice is less pollution per person (pollution on every level not just CO2) or less people, most true greens would go for the latter…………….but either way will not work on a global scale, a false green wording I hate “
offsetting or carbon credits”……we are still borrowing and not sure how we will pay it back
me I accept what we are and gave up being green….you will never convince enough, to solve the problem you need to understand the problem not the just one aspect of the issue, common sense means I still do certain things which could be classed as green, but do it for myself not In the hope of solving a global issue
even itpro will not answer my question about real world solutions but will burn hours of power trying to prove he is right on the reasons why, GCC is a side affect of the impact our race has had, just like speed cameras wont solve the road safety issues…it is one tiny aspect of a huge problem………..but just my thoughts, GCC is tricky to prove, pollution, wasting resources and respect for our and others home may be easier for the masses to get to grips with………..but it is not a vote winner
maybe the dolphins have the solution and just waiting for the seas to rise and step in with their global plan for this planet ; )
