There is no easy answer to this - it partly depends on where you live and how much you want to spend.
Driving to the circuit is fairly easy as the A43 is made into a one-way system for the race weekend.
There is plenty of parking in the surrounding fields but obviously this gets very busy so you need to allow time to get parked.
You can get just an ebtry ticket that allows you to walk round and watch from various parts of the track but the best spots get taken early in the mornings so camping locally could be the best bet for this option.
Seating can be in the open grandstands or under cover - choice is up to you if you want some protection from sun/rain. If you book seats then I prevfer to do this by phone as you can then check where your seats will be (costs a bit extra). On Sunday there is usually a display by the Red Arrows so seats near the front of covered grandstands offer a better view - no needed for open seating etc.
The atmosphere is great and there are plenty of stands to visit which can make a weekend trip worth while and tickets are not that much more expensive.
Hotels get booked up well in advance but you could still find somewhere at a reasonable rate as many may have held off booking until Donnington was confirmed/rejected.
If you go for seating then check the website and try to get somewhere near one of the big screens as you do not see much of the track directly.
