The "ordinary "normal" peoples opinions" (forgetting the missing inverted commas, of course!) were ALSO the ones whipped up by Mosely, Paisley, Adams, Powell, Hitler, Mussolini etc.! Just because they are the views of the 'ordinary' it doesn't make them RIGHT! The 'ordinary people' (as you might say) do other BIZARRE things.... they reads the SUN and think it's a NEWSPAPER, they follow X Factor and think it is 'TALENT', they are interested in Jordan's opinions on ANYTHING , they watch EAST ENDERS, they buy the 'music' (sic) of GARETTH GATES..... do I need to go on???? Not so much: 'ordinary' as: UNTHINKING!

This is my single greatest fear about the present situation: if people who hold your SCARY views got a 'charismatic leader' then YOU lot would FOLLOW THEM and others, too, who are not QUITE so daft would be drawn with them.... and the doors to HELL would be opened AGAIN! Just like the late 1930s all over AGAIN!

I'll fight that with anything I can muster!

Just learn to LOOK at your views! See if you can see ANY vestige in them of PREVIOUS views and follow the END RESULT of those previous views! See where the IDENTICAL oipinions took us the LAST time! Why do you imagine the result of ACTING upon these views would be ANY different than it was the LAST time??? Don't you GET it??? One of the clearest signs of MADNESS is when the person repeats an action which has previously lead to disaster BUT EXPECTS IT TO BE DIFFERENT EACH TIME HE REPEATS IT!
