Vic

Scarily, this is where we differ. You see Hitler as merely a 'pin' which allowed to balloon (dam)to burst. I see Hitler as a single Cancer cell around which grew the most virulent tumour that damned nigh annihilated the world.

I do not see a FRACTIONAL difference between the current situation with regards to the Muslims in THIS country than I can see existed with the Jews in this country in the 1930s, to take just one example. Althogh the dates don't match, just go and read the history of the 'Stern Gang' the King David Hotel Bomb, Menahim Begin, etc. etc.. Now tell me the differences between the two groups of terrorists. Yet another parallel between those Jews and today's Muslims. And yet.... are you proposing the SAME actions for the Jewish British today as you MIGHT be proposing for the British Muslims?

The mindless followers of Mosley have their counterparts today. That makes them no better and no less LOATHESOME. Luckily, we had the Cable Street 'rioters' ('defenders of freedom' is a more accurate term) then, drawn from EXACTLY the same 'stock' as the 'Black Shirts' of the day. Those 'rioters' were not living in a 'fairy-tale village' as you seem to believe that I do....

Learn from your history, Vic. Compare the texts and arguments of the Black Shirts with the 'anti-Muslims' of today. Other than the fact that they chose a DIFFERENT minority, please can you tell me a SINGLE difference in the words, thoughts, opinions on 'race', and 'solutions' betwen this new 'underclass' you are describing and the 'Black Shirts'. The logic is thus simple, if you support, propose or are willing to tolerate the views of one group, you have accepted the views of the Black Shirts too. Please be assured, I won't be joining anyone with those views! This time, I hope that I have the GUTS to be a 'Cable Street Rioter' of today!

For me, the Cable Street Rioters were what was RIGHT about being British and Chamberlain's actions on Czechoslovakia was all that was WRONG with being British!

Ian
