Like so many of these things, those old enough remember how things USED to be! My previous 'modern' Lotus was an Esprit Turbo and it ran FAULTLESSLY for the two years I had it.

James has had his 3 years and the only sign of failure is in the original Koni shockers which have lasted a creditable 53,000 miles. It's a VERY impressive car and it's tempted me to buy one, too... if the missus will let me have one!

Lotus build quality transformed in the 1980s.... I can't blame you for remembering the earlier stuff, though..... but I'd still add an original Elan to the 'stable' as an ideal!
