Finally after waiting since May,it's official release date, Game have decided to release Kart Racer on the Wii platform.
Josh has been promised it variously for an Easter present, then for having a minor operation, then his Bithday. Well it finally arrived in store today packaged with a wheel for £24.99 ,£5 under it's recommended price.
On first impressions it seems quite good,it's a racing simulator as opposed to the Mario Kart type games and you unlock the courses as you progress and your experience grows. First races take place indoors and you start at the back as you would expect ,gives you a good idea of the track as there is no track map/overview. Have a crash and your bodywork flies ! get in someones way and you get gestures !
Instructions are very basic, looks as though it's going to be fun on the wet day's. You do get a 2 player option,and,later in the game arena mode with jumps and stunts apparently.
So if you're bored and not looking forward to winter it may be worth a look at. Don't forget though,unfortunately, Game is the sole distributor in the UK so if you haven't got one locally you may have to travel or order off the Net.
