Having realised i've been dual insured on buildings and contents for the last 4 years i put a claim in to both insurers for a 50% each refund under the 'dual insurance law',now,i've been paid out by one already, not as much as i worked it out to be,maybe £150 short, the other insurer dragged it out a bit but today i recieved a letter saying amount X will be paid into my account in 3 days but the amount is nowhere near the other insurers amount.
Is it not just a simple case of adding up the monthly premiums paid over 48 months and dividing by 2 OR is there some sort of formula they use, i need to ring them monday and need to be armed and ready for their fobbing off
