By your comments, it sounds like it's been a while since you watched F1.

Failing rain or mechanical problems most races are decided by the 1st pit stop and the cars are so safe you can almost drive them like a console game. Crashing on purpose is straight out of the PlayStation school of driving but I guess that's a sign of the times.
