On the way up to Ellough just got to Junction 8 of M11, big accident with an artic. lorry going south crossed over into the northern fast lane. Road closed long cross country diversion during rush hours. On the way back A143 shut just east on Bury St. Edmonds. Long cross country diversion to get to A14. A14 shut at Newmarket junction. Long cross country diversion through and around Mewmarket. (Lots of money there!) Is this the usual behavior of the eastern counties police/motorist or just plain bad luck? Fantastic weather at Ellough. The rest best forgotten.
