The FIA are trying to regain control of F1, control that they should never have relinquished in the first place. The FIA should set the rules, not the teams. The problem is that at the same time as regaining control, they are trying to impose a pretty stupid bunch of rules! A breakaway series will never survive for long, the FIA has the tracks, the officials, and the title that they all want - FIA Formula One World Champion!
