It sounds a bit like the tail wagging the dog but Surely Max and Bernie must see that their current stratergy will destroy the Championship.
Some people have made too much for too long out of the current system and the proposed capping system would do nothing to stop those same people continuing to fill their bank accounts at the expense of others as the ones who provide the entertainment will have to cut back on staff and other costs whilst the organisers continue to pull in the dosh from the promotion side.
The FOTA proposal has a solid base and could well produce the show that the public want. Who is going to pay big bucks to see an FIA F1 race that does not have the best teams and drivers racing the fastest most advanced cars they can produce within a basic set of regulations not hampered by cost capping.
So what will the spectator think then, prehaps we could ask him!
