Great phone the iphone 3g......undoubtedly the best i have ever had in terms of applications, emailing capability, internet coverage, etc, etc......BUT, I will NEVER have another......why???

Well, I have given it a good shot, I`ve had it for 6 months now on an 18 month o2 contract, but last Saturday typified everything that is wrong about this bloody phone, and was the straw that broke this camels back........

I went to Thirsk racecourse on Saturday......set off at 10am with my phone fully charged. Never touched it until about 11.30, when I was about 20 minutes from circuit, then, in quick succession, I received about five text messages to which I replied, as a result of which I had to send six email messages, all before 12.30.

Got to circuit, first race at 2pm, never touched phone again until approximately 3.45, when I received 2 calls, one of which I had to reply to. Other than that, the only thing I did was to check the football scores on an application I have on three occasions.

The last race was at 5.35, went back to Thirsk town centre, by 6.15, at which point I tried to make a call, only to realise my battery, which was fully charged at 10am, had made and received 5 text messages, sent half a dozen emails, received 2 calls and made one, and had an application operated on three occasions, was totally dead............

Great phone, but, unless you work at home or in the office all day and you can keep it charged.......forget it, don`t get one!!!
