This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to post on the matter of F1 but I'm so sick of Ferarri throwing their toys out of the pram.
I cant understand why anyone would support Ferarri? Where's the merit in spending your way to the front of the field (this year being the embarrasing exception)?
Ferarri isn't quite the marque it used to be and I think there are far more exciting teams in F1.
Granted, F1 will lose the illustrious history and Fezza are should be thanked for pioneering the sport but if they cant keep with the times they should have the good grace to step down with a little dignity.
Personally I'm a converted Brawn fan because I like rooting for the underdog (although you have to remember this year's car was financed heavily by Honda) but teams like Red Bull and poor old Force India inspire me far more than a pretentious car brand thowing a near infinite amount of money at the sport.
I would much rather see a larger grid and some more teams ala Brawn come into the sport, who inspire genuine passion, rather than a team who trades on some loose idea of passion that has been created by marketing brains over the past 50 years.
Fezza wouldn't know what passion or hunger are these days and are turning the sport into one long court case.
However, I also watch F1 because I like the glamour and the sheer figures involved in all aspects so it would be a shame for it to become a budget sport - but I think 40 mil is reasonable, particularly if the cars get faster again. Turbo's etc. :)
