5d Shutter lag = 75ms
1ds mk 2 and mk111 40-55ms

I know that it does not look much, you really notice it if you compare it with a normal film camera.

As far as the stabilising..the sort of lens that Brian might buy, eg: Cannon EF-S 55-250 has an auto panning detector that turns off the staberliser in both horizontal and vertical modes!

Canon make really good cameras and the 5d is excellent.
